Since its establishment in 1999, Short Shorts Film Festival (formally known as the American Short Shorts) has grown greatly and has now come to its 10th anniversary in 2008, while Short Shorts Film Festival Asia celebrated its 5th anniversary. The main venue was again Laforet Museum, Harajuku and as a national tour, the Yokohama tour took place at the same time at Brillia Short Shorts Theater, which opened in February, 2008 as a showcase for short films.
