Hassan in Wonderland

Hassan in Wonderland is about the children of Iraq and how the environment they live in effects their lives. We see the world through the eyes of little Hassan and his friends who are innocently playing together when suddenly one of them finds a real gun. This conflict will either break their friendship or bring them closer together.

Director : Ali Kareem Obaid
Ali Kareem Obaid, born 1984 in Baghdad, is a theater director and filmmaker based in Berlin. He graduated as Theater Director from the Academy of Fine Arts, Baghdad University (2011). He then came to Germany to study further. Since 2012 he is working as a director assistant in ''Teatro Di Nascosto'', a refugee theater based in Volterra (Italy).
