Sara, an eight-year-old girl, lives alone in Raqqa, a city ravaged by war. While society tries to cope with the consequences of extreme violence, she gathers grenades from the rubbles to trade for food and clothing. The exchange of a grenade for a pair of gloves leads to a dramatic situation when the night falls.

The fox who wants to be a mascot for the city goes to a mascot training academy. He lives in a very tiny house and works many part-time jobs. He is still getting many Mascot auditions with taking loans at a high-interest rates for undergoing plastic surgery.

The sisters who were born and raised in Iraq love Japanese animation. They especially like “SLUM DANK” and “HUNTER×HUNTER”, and are big fans of them. The war experience was relevant to why they like animation.

In the cold northeast China, people lived by hunting for generations. A little boy born in a hunter family seemed to have a mysterious connection with the forest. Killing animals upset him but he couldn't stop his father. The relationship between them became increasingly tense. Eventually, the boy's naive behavior changed the fate of both.

In a cottage deep in the forest, a cat and an owl are competing for the approval of their witch mistress. Less skilled for spellcasting than his rival, the cat steals her magic wand from the witch as she leaves for the woods.
