HI EVERYBODY!

Our 2nd program of the day, “TEAM MANRIKI presents THE FUTURE OF SHORT FILMS”

saw a packed house for this screening & talk event.

TEAM MANRIKI is a creative group made up of multi-talents in film, music & stage.

• TAKUMI SAITOH acts, directs & photographs.
• NAGAO is one of Japan’s top comedians & actor & writer.

• YASUHIKO SHIMIZU is a director of music videos & major brand & company commercials.
• NOBUAKI KANEKO is a rock drummer, soundtrack creator & actor.

They got together to make 3 short film, all based on NAGANO’S skits with the aim of making a 

feature to be released next year.

The 3 shorts are surreal, strange, cool, funny & altogether unique. They told the audience that they 

pretty much intersected by chance & things just happen to connect properly among them to cause a chemical reaction & a creative team was born.

A very fun & interesting event.

Their feature “MANRIKI,” due to drop in 2019!
